Entry criteria

This category is open to legal teams for pro bono advice through free representation. In the case of community schemes, the entrant must demonstrate real innovation and show tangible local benefits.

Judges will be looking for evidence of:

  1. How pro bono has been incorporated into the overall activity of the firm or organisation

Submissions should focus on one scheme or case.

Oyster Search & Selection was established by Michael Pickup in 2008 to provide legal recruitment services to domestic and international law firms, as well as companies and financial institutions. A former Associate Director of a leading recruitment firm, Michael has over 15 years experience working in-house in HR and global recruitment for a number of Legal and Professional services Firms including Allen & Overy, Freshfield Bruckhaus Deringer, Clyde & Co and PricewaterhouseCoopers.  

Our consultants are able to draw on their personal experience having worked in recruitment, law firms, investment banking and management consultancy to gain a comprehensive understanding of our clients’ business needs and the markets in which they operate.

Whilst our business is geared towards Partners and Associates, we also recruit for senior management level positions across business services for our law firm clients. We complement our recruitment offering with a number of consultancy led services including career management, in-house resourcing consultancy and market research.
