The Lawyer Awards is about the celebration of excellence in the profession across private practice, the public sector, commerce and industry, and the Bar. It is unquestionably the biggest night of the year for the legal profession.
This year, we have received our highest ever level of entries. The Lawyer editorial team have already begun the mammoth task of sifting through these entries. But we don't just depend on the entries we are sent. We conduct a huge research process, interviewing hundreds of lawyers and their clients to supplement the nominations.
The Lawyer was the first legal magazine to put together a senior advisory judging panel taken from the great and the good in City institutions and the media. The combination of this and The Lawyer's own research has made these Awards the most comprehensive and incisive reflection of the commercial legal market. It's no wonder that they are the most sought after trophies in the law.

Short-listed entrants were announced in The Lawyer and online on 4th May, and the winners will be revealed at the Awards Ceremony on Tuesday 22nd June 2010 at Grosvenor House. To book your table click here.
As in past years there was no fee to enter. Instead we asked that entries be accompanied by a donation to our chosen charities Kids Company and The Children's Trust. These charities were picked after a readers' poll run on the Lawyer.com website in December 2007. Thanks to our entrants generosity, so far this year we have raised over £80,000. We hope to reach our target of £100,000 at the Awards ceremony.
It only remains for us to thank all of our award sponsors, particularly our co-sponsor for the sixth year running, Travelers. We look forward to seeing you at the Awards ceremony on 22nd June.
